Overview: Each of these activities need to be completed prior to your senior year.  Some activities will be completed or updated every year, others do not need to be repeated. If you have questions, check with your advisor.

 12th Grader Advisory Goals
 

 Task: Before beginning you must create a WOIS account at wois.org

October Goal: Update Cover Letter and Resume and upload to WOIS, brainstorm Senior Project
 

 

November Goal: Devise a plan for 10 volunteer hours

Select Post-High School Investigation.

December Goal: Complete Reality Check in WOIS. Register to vote or attend a community meeting.
 
January Goal: Compare 2 schools or 2 careers (you may choose to use a worksheet in WOIS to help you)
 
February Goal: Collect 1st semester/1st quarter self-reflections of learning for each class supported by work samples and upload to WOIS. 
 
 
March Goal: Prepare presentation for Senior Presentation/Project and complete Post High School Investigation. Update High School & Beyond Plan and make sure you have a saved copy in your Google Drive. (If not yet started, use the template provided below or on the advisory page of our website).
 
 
April Goal: Collect 2nd semester/2nd quarter self-reflections of learning for each class supported by work samples and complete Senior Project or Presentation. Prepare attire for final presentation. (Job interview attire - NO JEANS, T-SHIRTS OR CASUAL FOOTWEAR)
 
 
May Goal: Finish school in good standing, prepare for college/post-high school job.
 
 
June Goal: Graduate!

Letters of Recommendation (Optional)

A Letter of Recommendation is a formal, typed letter written by an adult that addresses your personal qualities, accomplishments, education, volunteer and community experiences. These letters should come from teachers, counselors, coaches, employers or others who know you well. A Letter of Recommendation may be used by potential employers, colleges or training institutions. It is highly recommended that you have at least one uploaded to Portfolio. Download a Letter of Recommendation Form below. If you choose to include a letter of recommendation, you must print out this form, fill it in, and give it to the person who will be writing your letter.
