Fifth Time in Six Years!

We've done it again! Five Mile Prairie has earned a School of Distinction award. This award recognizes outstanding improvement in reading and math, sustained over a five-year period of time. The formal awards ceremony will take place at ESD101 on Friday, October 21, 2016. Only 94 schools in the state receive this award, including 12 from the Spokane region. Congratulations to the students, staff and parents at Five Mile Prairie School. We could not be more proud!

Mead School District Mobile App Now Available

The Mead School District has its own smartphone application. This app includes multiple functionalities and provides news, notifications, content from the Mead district website and social channels, as well as school-specific updates and content. Windstorm Make-Up Days 2015

Mead schools were closed for three days during the recent windstorm weather event. Make-up days for two of the three days will be Friday, March 11 and Friday, June 17. Both of those days are designated in the 2015-2016 Mead School District Calendar as "make-up" days. Read more . . .

Voters Approve Bond & Levy

A big THANK YOU to the Mead community for their support! Preliminary results have both February 10 ballot measures receiving voter approval. The Levy received nearly 69% voter approval and the Bond 63.5%. The Spokane County Elections Office will certify election results on February 24, 2015.
