Following Governor Inslee's March 13th Emergency Declaration, all Mead School District schools will be closed for students starting Tuesday, March 17 through at least April 24, 2020, in an effort to aggressively slow the spread of COVID-19. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has dedicated an information page related to COVID-19. This is a great place to see information as it comes from our state and is the educational government agency directing our district's course of action. This is the most up-to-date information for parents that may have questions about testing, credits, or graduation as it relates to school closures.

FREE Meals for Kids

Beginning Monday, March 23, children, age 18 and under, can enjoy a FREE, nutritious, "grab-and-go" breakfast and lunch while our schools are closed. Registration is not required and children do not need to be Mead students to participate. Children and/or parents can pick up sack meals, which include lunch and breakfast for the following day. Five Mile Parent Survey

Continuous improvement is important to our staff and part of that process is hearing from you. A link to a community survey is included in this news announcement. Please complete the survey to provide us with information which we will use to plan for next year. It should only take about 15 minutes. Additionally, mark your calendars for the evening of March 26, 2020 from 5:00- 7:00 PM. We will host a parent engagement night where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, hear about our future plans and offer suggestions for improving our service to you. STCU Field Trip

Sign up at the front desk for one of two tours of the Indian Trail branch of STCU (8703 N Indian Trail Rd. 99208). Space is limited to the first 15 students per tour. Please allow 45 minutes for this field trip.
